Westward turns one.
Well, folks… we made it. One whole year of Westward. One year of art, grit, weird Western goods, tangled tumbleweeds, local love, and a steady stream of creative connection.
It’s wild to think how you can open a place and have no clue what it’s going to become. You just hope it turns into something meaningful. Something that matters. And somewhere along the way, it did. Westward has grown into one of the coziest little corners of Cheyenne—a place where people come in for a print or a gift and end up staying to talk about life, color palettes, or Wyoming weather (bless it).
Our First-Year Bash was everything we could’ve hoped for. Friends, family, neighbors, strangers-turned-regulars—all gathered in one space to celebrate with us. We had the soulful sounds of Mike Morris setting the mood, a jaw-droppingly beautiful cake from Cakes Your Breath Away, and the kind of night that reminds you just how special it is to be surrounded by a community that gets it.
And if that weren’t enough, we also kicked off Tati Thompson’s solo show, On the Way Home. This is Tati’s very first solo exhibition, and we couldn’t be more honored to host it. Her work is full of heart, texture, and a quiet intensity that pulls you in. It feels like home in all the best and most unexpected ways.
Being part of Wyoming’s creative community has been the real gift. We’re constantly reminded that art and creativity aren’t just something extra—they’re essential. Especially out here. Especially now. We need stories, color, beauty, and expression woven into our everyday lives more than we realize.
So thank you—for walking through our doors, for cheering us on, for supporting small, weird, wonderful things. We feel so lucky to share this space and this life with you.
Here’s to year two.
